Chevron has operated in Bangladesh, where the American oil and natural gas company oversees oil fields in Bibayana, Jalalabad, and Moulvibazar, since 1995. To give back to these communities, Chevron has supported numerous agricultural, educational, and entrepreneurial programs, schools, and organizations. Chevron partnered with nonprofit employment organization Hathay Bunano in 2010 to create a training center for underserved women in Moulvibazar, providing them with employable artistic skills by creating handmade knitted goods.

আমেরিকান তেল ও প্রাকৃতিক গ্যাস কোম্পানি শেভরন ১৯৯৫ সাল থেকে বাংলাদেশে কাজ করছে এবং বিবিয়ানা, জালালাবাদ ও মৌলভীবাজারে তেলক্ষেত্রের তদারকি করে আসছে। স্থানীয় জনসমাজের প্রতি কর্তব্য পালনের অংশ হিসেবে শেভরন অসংখ্য কৃষি, শিক্ষা ও ব্যবসা উদ্যোগ বিষয়ক কার্যক্রম এবং বিভিন্ন স্কুল ও সংস্থাকে সহায়তা দিয়েছে। মৌলভীবাজারের সুবিধাবঞ্চিত নারীদের মধ্যে হাতে বোনানো পণ্য তৈরি করার কর্মসংস্থানযোগ্য নিপুণ দক্ষতা সৃষ্টির লক্ষ্যে একটি প্রশিক্ষণ কেন্দ্র প্রতিষ্ঠার লক্ষ্যে শেভরন ২০১০ সালে কর্মসংস্থান বিষয়ে কর্মরত অলাভজনক সংস্থা হাতে বুনানো’র সাথে অংশীদারিত্ব স্থাপন করে।
