At the 2019 International Cricket Council Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifier, Bangladesh and the United States competed. The match featured a great catch by U.S. bowler Nadia Gruny and strong defense by Bangladeshi bowler and Player of the Match awardee Nahida Akter. While both teams played valiantly, Bangladesh bowled out the U.S. by 46, guaranteeing their place in the tournament’s Top Six. The U.S. went on to play Papua New Guinea in hopes of securing its spot at the 2020 Women’s T20 World Cup in Australia.
