Dr. Yadira I. Martínez Pantoja
Dr. Yadira I. Martínez Pantoja is an Assistant Professor in the Department of International Business at Prague University of Economics and Business (VŠE) since 2022. She holds a Ph.D. in International Relations from the University of Auckland where she was awarded the University of Auckland Doctoral Scholarship, and a Master in United States studies from the Universidad de las Américas Puebla. She has extensive experience teaching in leading universities of New Zealand and Mexico. She worked as a lecturer at Auckland University of Technology and as a consultant in New Zealand where she managed projects and prepared strategic reports in the areas of education, research, and strategy for different government agencies, universities, and organizations. Her research focuses on public diplomacy and strategic communications, the interactions between multinational corporations, non-governmental organizations and governments, as well as state and non-state actors, with a particular interest in business diplomacy, cultural diplomacy, corporate social responsibility, and nation branding. Her publications include models for public engagement utilizing digital diplomacy on Twitter, new public diplomacy 'intermestic' strategies and instruments to promote a change in Mexican GM food policy, and business diplomacy strategies and instruments of biotechnology companies. She presented in the CPD's First Doctoral Conference on Public Diplomacy and has been a CPD blog contributor on topics about public diplomacy instruments to engage different types of publics.
