Ndubisi Okoye was selected by the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) to paint a mural on the walls of their headquarters in Detroit, Michigan. The mural was part of a broader campaign to promote civic participation through voting, a cornerstone of the ACLU’s advocacy in the United States.
“This mural is a combination of my hand-lettering, pattern work, and love for color. I love how it came out.”
Ndubisi graduated from College for Creative Studies in Detroit with a B.F.A. in Advertising Design. Before graduating, he began working as an Art Director for many advertising agencies in Detroit. His client roster includes General Motors, Chevrolet, and Chrysler. Before accepting his first role in the industry, Ndubisi began working independently as a multidisciplinary creative. Since then, he's been simultaneously specializing in vibrant mural painting, custom hand lettering, and thought-provoking illustrations. These clients include Universal Music Group, Pepsi, Netflix, Warner Bros, Adobe, and HGTV. He continues to find ways to blend and excel in every design discipline he chooses.
